Weight Loss
Over the last two years, I have already lost considerable weight (~20kg), but I have been plateauing on an okay-but-not-good-enough weight for almost a year now. This project is about getting to my desired weight. And what better way to commit to this goal than putting it on my personal website! I won’t disclose the actual kilograms of my journey, but decided to share my relative weight/time graph; for now, in the form of a decorative squiggly line under the main heading on each page. I will look into more meaningful data visualizations as I go.
I will also share what I learn, which resources really helped me, and maybe even how I manage recipes and meal prepping.
If you are trying to lose weight in a sustainable and healthy manner and if, by any chance, turning weight loss into an engineering problem sounds appealing to you, then look no further than John Walker’s The Hacker’s Diet. It is free and, while a bit dated, still very relevant. If the prospect of tracking, visualizing, and inspecting your weight and calorie intake fills you with glee, then this book might be for you. It has definitely been a game changer for me!
