Tekkno by Electric Callboy
I stumbled upon the album Tekkno by Electric Callboy, formerly known as Eskimo Callboy, while looking for new metalcore music. After having been treated with ten absolute bangers of sheer genre-mashup-madness somewhere between metalcore, techno, and Schlager music, this is my album of the year 2023.
It’s one of those rare records that I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a single track. That makes it my go-to soundtrack for jogging, showering, cooking… unfortunately, to the great displeasure of my wife. Sorry! I still had to add the Tour Edition, that packs five additional live tracks, to my vinyl record collection.
Generation Youtube gets an over-the-top fun, crazy, and visually exuberant music video for every track, e.g. Spaceman. These are only topped by Electric Callboy’s galvanizing live shows.
