Nothing Headphone (1)

I treated myself to an early birthday present and bought the white Nothing Headphone (1).
This is not a serious product review, mind you! I leave that to my Uberblogr neighbor Benedikt Müller, who also covered Nothing’s first-ever over-ear headphones. This is rather a note of praise about a capable piece of hardware that has ✨ nothing ✨ but delighted me so far.
First of all, they look FUCKING epic! This retro look that reminds me of old cassette decks, the aluminium finish, and the red highlights caught my eye early on. My wife could not agree less and you might disagree, too, but I could not help but chuckle at the prospect of buying headphones that are not pitch-black for once.
The battery life is SO MUCH better than with my ageing Bose 700 and OMG: TACTILE CONTROLS!!1!!! I despise touch controls on earpieces and luckily the Headphone (1) has some very smart controls for power, volume, prev/next/answering calls, noise cancellation, and more. You can customize some of them via the excellent Nothing X app that reveals more features Nothing doesn’t even bother advertising: dual connect, personal sound profile, spatial audio, and a superb equalizer.
They are very comfortable to wear, the noise cancellation seems to be potent, and the whole workmanship of this device screams “competency.” I bought them at the very appropriate price point of 189 € and couldn’t be happier!
